Artist Rooms : Ed Ruscha
Tate Modern in Bankside, London presents a collection of the artists work from the 1960's onwards associated with the Pop Art movement, Ruscha used words from film and radio with different fonts and arrangements experimenting with styles that look as if they had been poured or folded onto the canvas against iconic images, landscapes and social culture...drawing inspiration from his hometown of Los Angeles its architecture features prominently and the pieces can also be interpreted as commentaries on modern American society!
